Creation

“The Beginning”, when otherwise unqualified, was the beginning of time.

Time is defined by some as the motion of matter thru space. Where there is no matter, and no space, there can be no motion, and so there can be no time.

So there was a starting point. A point at which there was nothing but spirit. There was no duality, no manifestation into lower levels, nothing defineable as differentiation of form, of character, or of frequency.

The body of God was unconscious.

The beginning began with “God” conceiving of itself. There was no how, no why, no prior cause. This was the first act. By conceiving of itself, God conceived, by reflection, of “UnGod”. This was the first duality, and it was the jumping off point of creation.

Duality grew in the mind of God. Details took root, and manifestation began.

Manifestation is the process by which something on one level creates something in its image on a lower level. So the forms which came into being in spirit began to exist on progressively lower levels until matter began to manifest. Thoughts coalesced in spirit, then on the various planes, finally on the material plane. As they slowly took form on the higher levels, those forms on the lower levels followed suit and manifested with greater and greater detail.

Scientists sometimes tell us of matter slowly taking shape and gaining density until stars, then planets formed. That was a reflection of what had already taken place on the higher levels.

The Earth began.

As the universe formed in Spirit, God’s consciousness grew. Each new form in spirit became a part of that consciousness, even as it was already a part of the body of God. And each new part, manifesting the patterns of what existed on the higher levels, developed consciousness of its own. As the body of God divided in manifestation, the Spirit which made up the body of the universe divided into souls, each reflected downward in physical manifestation.

As the complexity of the universe grew, the souls manifesting grew in two ways. They gained complexity, and they separated and became distinct from God. The more complex the manifestation, the greater the separation.

The central thrust of God thruout all this was to grow, to expand in complexity and detail, to manifest everything possible within a creation. To achieve this, God separated into infinite numbers of reflections of itself, each an individual soul capable of independently achieving the same universal consciousness as God itself.

The expansion was not just horizontal, with each soul growing in consciousness within spirit, but vertical as well, with consciousness expanding on all the levels of creation. To accomplish this, the separation had to be complete down to the physical plane, then consciousness had to be regained from that plane.

So this defines the path for Humanity. We separate as Souls from the body of God. We achieve consciousness as physical beings, at the cost of our Spiritual Consciousness. We then use our physical and mental tools to regain that Spiritual Consciousness.

That is the Path. And that is the method and the purpose of the Creation.
